Forever, Love (2006)
The texts of this piece share a common theme of an unconditional love that never ends. In Echo, the voices take the role of the voice of a loved one who has died. The text for Steady was written by a close friend and describes a life of difficult and changing times, heard in the heavy chromaticism and increasing intensity, that can be overcome with love. The joyous last movement, Love is Enough, is a setting of a beautiful text in which the voices and piano work together to create a lush tapestry of harmonies.
