Get Ready! (2016)
While I have been playing bassoon for over two decades, I never wrote a solo bassoon piece until I was invited to perform some of my own music for a performance at Campbell University.
This music is somewhat like a dance suite, perhaps like the cello suites of Bach. However, instead of an Allemande or Bouree, I was interested in capturing dance music of today. To the extent that a bassoon might be able to make hip hop or dubstep, these are fun little moments of light-hearted music to get you up and moving!
