When I first looked out across the city of Akron, Ohio, my eyes were caught by the sight of a cathedral that, when lit up at night, left me awestruck. I had seen many such structures throughout Europe, but seeing this in the context of an American city was that much more impressive. This piece intends to capture some of the great power that a large cathedral suggests, while also expressing the beauty that can be found inside.
