The Fall (2008)

The Fall is a dark reflection on the fall of man. There may have been no more significant a fundamental change in human society than that which came about from the revolt of man against God. From a world ordered by its maker to one in which the creation learns to rule itself, this revolution of man is an ongoing pursuit of restoration. The first movement, "Temptation", is full of angular melodies and jarring rhythms. The melancholy second movement, "Toil," continually returns to a sighing motive. The piece ends with a toccata and fugue in "Anguish of the Soul".
