Just Like You (2016)
Borrowing themes from such diverse sources as Harlem Renaissance poet Alice Dunbar-Nelson and the British black comedy film Trainspotting, Just Like You deals with questions of identity and belonging in music influenced by EDM and hip-hop.
Just Like You was commissioned by the Mississippi Music Teachers Association and was written for trombonist Adam Almeter and pianist Tyler Kemp. Special thanks to Tyler for assistance in preparation of the fixed media.
